He was looking so far ahead, that he missed what was smack dab infront of his face.
So I was at bible study yesterday, and we were watching a movie. I forget what it was called but we watched it and discused how life was presented in the movie, and what we could learn about God through the film.
Anywho. There was this character who was allways looking for somthing better. Better job, more money. Everything materialistic. This person was basicly searching for love and happiness in life. He was looking so far ahead for somthing more that he missed out on somthing that was at his fingertips. He had a family that was verry loving. But he never had a chance to experence it because he was allways going, searching for somthing better.
So this random tangent does actually have a point. One thing that I realised ...maybe its just me i donno. BUt sometimes I think we can be looking so far ahead for "a brighter side" that we miss the joys right infront of our face. I'm all for the planning ahead concept..trust me i like to have a plan but I think it is equally important to make sure that you stop and smell the roses. Find the simple joys right in front of your nose.
